The TOI Social Impact Summit 2026, presented by Malabar Gold & Diamonds and powered by the Reliance Foundation, was held in Taj Lands End, Mumbai, early this month, bringing together an eminent cross-section of leaders from business, government, and the social sector to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping India’s social development. The two-day Summit featured conversations on healthcare access, inclusive education, youth participation, climate resilience, sustainability, CSR, and the role of technology and AI in scaling change.With Chief Guest Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister for Commerce and Industry, and eminent leaders including Mr. Sanjiv Puri, Chairman and Managing Director, ITC, and Mr. M. P. Ahammed, Chairman, Malabar Group of Companies, alongside 50+ speakers and leaders from across sectors, the Summit brought diverse perspectives to the table, from building responsible business models and strengthening community resilience to making technology more inclusive and accessible.At the heart of these conversations was the Social Impact Honours 2026, celebrating the work that turns intent into action. India’s socio-economic development increasingly relies on structured, measurable interventions designed to bridge long-standing deficits in public delivery, access, and infrastructure. Within this broader context of ground-level reform, the Times of India Social Impact Honours 2026 recognise 18 initiatives and organisations deploying scalable solutions across six focus areas: health and wellbeing, education, gender equity, technology and AI for social good, climate sustainability, and vocational skilling.
