Towel left in woman’s abdomen during C-section, removed at AIIMS after 3 months
A woman in Jodhpur, India, endured three months of severe abdominal pain after a surgical towel was left inside her abdomen during a C-section. Multiple hospitals misdiagnosed her condition until she reached AIIMS, where a CT scan revealed the towel. A five-hour surgery successfully removed the towel, which had adhered to her intestines. The woman has since been discharged.
