Uttar Pradesh bans artificial food colours in Samosa & Momo Chutney
The Food Safety and Drug Administration of Uttar Pradesh has launched an initiative to eliminate harmful industrial dyes in street food. Vendors are now required to replace these synthetic colors with natural alternatives in popular items such as chutneys, kebabs, and cotton candy. While synthetic colors remain permissible under strict guidelines for baked goods, this move aims to enhance food safety across the board.
