Vehicle-free CP inner circle? NDMC chief seeks public views as traders oppose pedestrianisation plan
The NDMC chairman has proposed pedestrianising Connaught Place's inner circle. He invited public suggestions on restricting vehicular movement and enhancing pedestrian access. Traders have opposed the idea, citing business needs and parking concerns. Previous attempts to pedestrianise the area have faced similar resistance. The Lieutenant Governor also sought plans for pedestrianisation in high-footfall areas.
