Washing machines, dinner sets, liquor: Freebies meant to lure electors seized ahead of Maharashtra civic polls
Election officials in Pimpri Chinchwad have seized various items, including washing machines and liquor, allegedly intended to bribe voters ahead of civic elections. The seizures followed multiple complaints, leading to the registration of 13 cases, including offenses related to voter inducement and model code violations. Incidents of alleged assault and threats against candidates and their families have also been reported.
