Severe cyclonic storm Arnab is forecast to intensify and make landfall along the Andhra Pradesh coast. The Indian Meteorological Department has warned of extremely heavy rainfall and strong winds in several states. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh are particularly at risk as the cyclone approaches. Fishermen have been advised to remain ashore due to rough sea conditions.
