Why America’s college graduates are taking jobs they didn’t study for

A new report from MyPerfectResume® reveals a striking trend in the US workforce: even entry-level jobs that once required little education are now dominated by college graduates. Between 69% and 98% of workers in roles like lifeguards, bartenders, and postal clerks are overeducated. This “credential creep” leaves many underemployed, underpaid, and highlights the growing gap between degrees and job requirements.
