Woman's 1981 land investment helps protect 140 acres of Canadian island forest 45 years later
Domena Diesing took a significant step by investing her grandmother's legacy to safeguard 140 acres of Lasqueti Island, Canada. By teaming up with the BC Parks Foundation, she secured a permanent conservation status for the land, enhancing a vast connected reserve now exceeding 1,000 acres in the Salish Sea.
