1k birds culled in avianflu outbreak at Maharashtra village
A health emergency has been declared in Chirner village, Uran, due to a bird flu outbreak affecting a backyard poultry farm. Approximately 1,000 birds have been culled. Samples tested positive for bird flu on January 18. Rapid response and human health teams are deployed for prevention, sanitization, and disinfection. Doctors are stationed at the village for preventive measures.
