BMC moves to regulate commercial sports turfs on civic plots to charge 1% of land rate
The BMC has rolled out a new policy aimed at managing sports turfs on municipal leasehold lands. Under this policy, an annual license fee will be determined based on Ready Reckoner rates for these athletic facilities. This move follows the discovery that many commercially operated sports turfs lacked the required permissions.
