Filmmaker Sulagna Chatterjee questions organisers as Shilpa Rao set cut while Himesh plays on
Filmmaker Sulagna Chatterjee has criticised the organisers of Bollywood Music Project after Shilpa Rao’s performance was cut short in Mumbai on October 24. Recalling the incident, Chatterjee said Rao’s microphone stopped working before the lights went off and another act began. She also questioned why Himesh Reshammiya was allowed to continue performing. Rao later said she was “heartbroken”, while the organisers apologised and attributed the interruption to scheduling delays and venue curfew regulations.
