In a first, BMC to widen Western Express Highway at Goregaon’s traffic choke point
BMC plans to alleviate traffic congestion on Western Express Highway by widening a 300-400m stretch from Mohan Gokhale Road to Aarey Check Naka. This involves removing 300 illegal structures. Compensation will be offered to the affected residents. The project, pursued for 15 years, is now set to resolve congestion issues at Aarey Check Naka within three months.
