Kolkata school removes portraits of Marx, Mao, Ho Chi Minh after teachers body objects
Protesters from Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh visited Lake View School to demand the removal of communist portraits. After complaints from parents, the school agreed to take down the images of Karl Marx and Mao Tse-tung. The images had been displayed in the staff room for about 20 years without issue until now. The school administration promises to clear all objectionable portraits within a week.
