NIA frames charges against 2 more in ’24 I-Day IED seizure case
In a significant development within the 2024 Assam Independence Day IED seizure investigation, the NIA has apprehended two additional suspects, Bhargab and Sumu Gogoi, raising the total number of individuals charged to five. Evidence suggests that they financed one of the accused, who admitted to planting explosives as part of Ulfa(I)'s planned disruption of the Independence Day festivities.
