Scientists develop method to treat brain tuberculosis
Indian scientists from the Institute of Nano Science and Technology in Mohali have developed a groundbreaking nose-to-brain drug delivery method for treating Central Nervous System Tuberculosis (CNS TB). Utilizing chitosan nano-aggregates, this method bypasses the blood-brain barrier, significantly improving drug availability in the brain. This technology could also be useful in treating other brain infections and neurodegenerative diseases.
