KDMC chief and Mayor seeks cancellation of MIDC's weekly 36 hr water shutdown saying 27 villages only receive only half its quota
Severe water shortages are affecting residents across 27 villages of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation, with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation implementing a 36-hour weekly water supply halt. This comes amid already low supply levels, which are at about half of the sanctioned quota. KDMC officials are concerned and plan to petition the MIDC to reconsider the additional water restrictions.
